The Sandwich Glass Museum

Located in the heart of Sandwich Village, the Sandwich Glass Museum interprets the history of the town and its glass industry. There are displays of more than 6,000 glass pieces created by the different glass companies in Sandwich during the 19th and 20th centuries and new introductory exhibits.

A new furnace allows visitors to view the intriguing world of glassblowing and interact with the glassblower as he demonstrates glassmaking in all its complexity. In the new Hirschmann Theater a 20-minute multi-media presentation called “Sandwich: The First 200 Years” is an exciting introduction to the history of the town. The museum’s dazzling gift shop features new contemporary glass artists as well as reproductions, perfumes, jewelry, paperweights, vases, and ornaments.

April–December: Daily, 9:30 am–5:00 pm
February and March: Wednesday–Sunday, 9:30 am–4:00 pm
Closed: January, Mondays and Tuesdays in February and March, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. All holidays are subject to change without notice.

Directions:
Route 3 South to Cape Cod. From Mid-Cape Highway (Route 6), Exit 2. Head north on Route 130 to Sandwich Village (1.5 miles approx.). Bear left at traffic island. The Sandwich Glass Museum will be on your right.
