If I have a 1-day card, can I still use the card for the 2-day trolley pass?
Yes, a two-day trolley ticket is included with your Go Boston Card, regardless of the number of Go Card “days” purchased.

It is important to know that picking up your trolley ticket will activate your Go Boston Card, so be sure to pick up your trolley ticket on the day that you plan to take the trolley.

Do I need to pick up my trolley ticket at a specific location or can I board anywhere with my card?
You must pick up your trolley ticket prior to boarding the Beantown Trolley. Show your Go Boston Card at the Massachusetts Transportation Building, 16 S. Charles Street to receive your ticket. The Massachusetts Transportation Building (also known as City Place) is conveniently located downtown, across the street from the Boston Common (Stop #6 on the trolley map). Once you have your trolley ticket, you may board right the trolley directly outside of the building.

Once again, it is important to know that picking up your trolley ticket will activate your Go Boston Card, so be sure to pick up your trolley ticket on the day that you plan to take the trolley.
